Dr K. Nihaal Reddy MD

Nihaal obtained his medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences and completed his postgraduate residency training in Radiodiagnosis from JNMC, KLE University, Belgaum. He went for an observership in Pediatric Neuroradiology under Dr Sanjay Prabhu at Boston Childrens Hospital, Harvard. He then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuroradiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore under Dr Andrea Poretti and went on to pursue a second fellowship in pediatric radiology & neuroradiology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He is currently a Consultant Pediatric Neuroradiologist with the Rainbow Children’s Hospital Network and Tenet Diagnostics, Hyderabad, India.

Nihaal has an extensive educational portfolio, conducting the Pan-India Pediatric Neuroscience Grand Rounds every fortnight, and co-ordinating the International Pediatric Neuroradiology Teaching Network, conducted by the ASPNR in 2022. His main areas of interest are posterior fossa imaging, malformations, and inherited neurometabolic disorders. In his spare time, Nihaal enjoys watching football and is an ardent supporter of Liverpool FC, having captained his school and college teams in football and cricket. He also enjoys poetry, watching movies, bodybuilding, and visiting the national parks of India in search of Tigers.
