Dr Suraj Serai
Dr. Serai is an MR Scientist and Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert at CHOP and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor's in Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India, and his Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is a member of several professional organizations, including ISMRM, RSNA, AAPM, ACR, QIBA, and SPR, and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple leading radiology journals.
Dr. Serai works closely with radiologists to develop imaging protocols, measure quantitative MRI values, and create visual maps that enhance clinical applications. His research focuses on MR-based techniques for iron and fat quantification, liver fibrosis elastography, and T1/T2 mapping, tailored for pediatric patients. He also assists in designing, interpreting, and analyzing quantitative MR research projects with direct clinical relevance in pediatric radiology.
